Places / people / potential
A practical fact sheet about the place we serve, the people who make it work and the four towns that shape its shared future.
The place
Mafube is a local municipality in the northern Free State of South Africa. Its municipal life connects four towns — Frankfort, Villiers, Cornelia and Tweeling — with surrounding farming communities, local businesses, civic organisations and public institutions.
The Fund’s work is about making those connections useful: listening to local priorities, bringing the right partners together and supporting programmes that create opportunity, dignity and a stronger future for residents.
The people
Residents and families
The people who live, learn, work and build their lives across Mafube’s towns and communities.
Businesses and farmers
The enterprises, producers and local suppliers that keep the everyday economy moving and create jobs.
Young people and learners
The next generation who need access to education, skills, technology, sport and pathways into work.
Community organisations
Local groups, leaders and civil-society partners who understand needs on the ground and help turn ideas into action.
Public institutions
Municipal, provincial and national partners whose services, infrastructure and approvals affect local opportunity.
Partners and funders
People and organisations who can bring capital, expertise, equipment, networks or delivery capacity to a clear local need.
